If you visit Japan in Summer, one thing you should not missed is to see the rice paddy artfield. You can found it in Tohoku area including in Obanazawa city, Yamagata. They 'paint' the ricefield by plant several different breeds of rice. If you came in the right time you can joined the plantation as well :D

Jika anda mengunjungi jepang di musim panas, hal yang tidak boleh anda lewatkan adalah melihat sawah lukis. Anda dapat menemukan sawah lukis di daerah Tohoku, termasuk di kota Obanazawa, prefektur Yamagata. Mereka 'melukis' sawah dengan cara menanam berbagai variasi padi yang memiliki warna berbeda. Jika anda datang di waktu yang tepat anda bahkan bisa ikut menanam padi untuk 'melukis' sawah ini.

The picture in Obanazawa city's rice field art  themed on Japan folklore 'suika-taro' a story about a boy coming from a watermelon. Each year they make a different picture as a continuous story of suika-taro. I am expecting his baby next year ;)

Gambar yang dilukis di sawah kota obanazawa menganggat tema cerita rakyat mereka 'Suika-taro' yang mengisahkan anak yang berasal dari dalam semangka. Setiap tahunnya mereka membuat gambar berbeda yang menceritakan kelanjutan kisah Suika-taro. Saya menduga tahun depan Suika-taro akan memiliki anak ;)
