Who could resist a cute bundle of fluffy creature?

Sitting at the base of Zao mountain, Miyagi prefecture, Zao fox village is the best place to see fox. They running freely around you, some are yawning cutely and definitely steal my heart. You can visit this place in all season, some says winter is the best time. But I visited it on summer in a rainy and still fully enjoy it. They sheltered hundreds of foxes from 6 different species including japan red fox,  black fox, platinum fox, and arctic foxes.

The entrance fee is 1000 JPY for adults and for extra 100 JPY you can feed the foxes there. Eventhough they were so cute you need to remember they were not a pet. But near the front gate you can try to pet a tamer fox as well. I try to pet one fox and he is so adorable and fluffy :D You really have to experience it yourself.

Here's my tips to fully enjoy Zao fox village:

  1. Be careful of dangling things like you camera, key chain, or umbrellas. They easily attracted to it.
  2. Do remember they were wild animal, do not touch the wild free fox around you. Do not pointing your finger close to them.
  3. Feed the foxes only at the enclosed area
  4. Definitely try to pet the tame fox in front of the gate. Where else you could have fox on you lap? ;)
Cobalah membelai rubah jinak di area pintu masuk bersama petugas lokasi. Dimana lagi anda dapat memangku rubah? ;)
  5. The view of the area on winter is very beautiful and the foxes also fluffier on winter
