On the second day we got the chance to stay at Prince Snow Resorts, 雫石プリンスホテル Shizukuishi Prince Hotel!! It's famous for having the longest tubing course in north tohoku! Can't ski or snowboard? Relax, they also have a snow bus tour to see the sunrise from the top of the mountain.
Unfortunately it's not winter yet, so we can't experience full excitement of the snow resort, but we had the chance to take the ropeway to the top and look at the stars!
Tired of the excitement, we soaked our body in an open air bath. What made it even more special is that the onsen is separated by a small wall from a pond full of japanese carps (Koi fishes). To make it even more superb, you can see lit-up trees too while relaxing in the onsen. Can't imagine the beauty? Go and see with your own eyes. Recommended time to visit: Winter (January~)
Here's the hotel. I wish I could come here again in winter...
They said that this is the track for snow tubing and also play ground. It's a 500m course!
Unfortunately it's not winter yet...
The view from our room.
We can see the mountain from the window. Imagine it's covered by snow! You can even see the ski track from here.
There you go. Can you see the ski slopes? This is the view from our hotel room
They have french cuisine and Japanese-Western style buffet. We had the buffet and after dinner we were surprised by this dessert.
One of us got special message because it's his birthday. The hospitality is superb
After dinner, we're ready to take the ropeway to see the stars! it's really hard to take good shots of the sky. I did several trial and error shoots until I got the seemingly correct setting for my camera. A little shake can ruin the result.
At first I couldn't even focus properly
After uncountable trials and errors...finally
