Asparagus Picking (Mitsuzawa, Yamagata)

We can't grow asparagus in the Philippines and so seeing an asparagus plant for the first time is like completing a puzzle in one corner of your mind. Local farmers in Mitsuzawa allow you to pick local produce such as asparagus, grapes for wine-making, tomatoes among others. I tried eating freshly picked asparagus and it tasted like... beans. haha Agrotourism at its best.
