We enjoyed watching a historical musical called Haruranran in a Warabiza theatre. This musical is based on historical events about Haru-chan. She married a military officer at the age of 22 and after her husband's death her life was totally changed. She was managing Akita's first beauty salon and decided to open a Geisha training school as well. Most significantly, she became involved in local women's rights movements.
Tour of the backstage are:
All the props used in this performance were made by the actors' hands!
And the rotating centre-stage turns purely by the effort and strength of two men!
Please come and see it for yourself! Come and find out what happens to Haru ...!
