Aomori is more than just what many are familiar with, apples and sakura. It also has  other worth-visiting places, such as an Aomori-typical museum. This museum displays many art works related to Aomori Prefecture. Visiting Aomori museum of arts should be included in list of destination once you visit Aomori. It does not take you to be an arts lover to enjoy the works collection of this museum. I used to have little interest in arts, yet Aomori museum of arts changes my perspective on viewing arts. The art works related to Aomori crafted by of well-known highly unique individual artists like Shiko Munakata, Jun-ichiro Sekino, Yoshishige Saito, Tadahiro Ono, Uichi Takayama, Kojin Kudo, Tetsumi Kudo, Shuji Terayama, Tohl Narita, Yoshitomo Nara, and many others are available.

I was amazed by the art works, especially the huge statue of dog. Until now, i even can stop wondering how such huge statue of dog was crafted. Only highly creative touches who could make it real. This museum is open everyday, except national holiday.  Tickets for visiting this museum is affordable. ¥510 for adult, ¥300 for high school and college students, and ¥100 for elementary and junior high school students.
